Job Description and Person Specification

·        To provide and maintain a good standard of hospitality and guest service and to learn all aspects of Food & Beverage service and procedures.

·        To learn and practice a high standard of hospitality with regards to Food & Beverage service.

·        To learn Conference & Banqueting standards and procedures and how to set-up meeting and function rooms to Company standards

·        To be fully aware of standards with regards meeting and greeting Conference & Banqueting clients in the absence of a Conference Host

·        To keep all conference and banqueting areas tidy and ensure public areas are tidy at all times - in particular the Lounge and reception.

·        To learn to work as part of the Banqueting team in order to assist in the serving of guests in a friendly and professional manner and to provide all aspects of service (including silver-service - full training provided).

Must have previous experience in similar role, stock handling and working to a high standard in a demanding environment. Ability to work unsupervised,

be a team player and customer focused

 

Key Responsibilities:  Adhere to prescribed standards and maintain workload sufficient to efficiently run kitchen operations avoiding interruption to service.

Strict adherence to Food Hygiene Regulations regarding deliveries, food storage, stock rotation, temperature recording.

Ensure that food items are handled, cooked and served correctly.

Supervise trainees and assist chefs where workload allows, establishing clear lines of communication within the kitchen operation and restaurant staff.

Report all faults and damage to equipment in accordance with hotel procedures.
